Have you seen DIA’s What Lies Ahead 2015 report yet? The third annual report was released earlier this year, providing experts’ insights into the year ahead for pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and medical devices. To read the full report, click here.
The report outlines the top trends in therapeutic innovation and regulatory science, with the top trend identified as The Rising Influence of Payers: Driving the Need for Evidence-Based Outcomes. The influence of payers in discussions of medicinal products signals the growing interdependence of stakeholder efforts to advance the availability of new and innovative products to meet medical needs.
Many of the Top 10 trends center on multi-stakeholder approaches to improve cost-effectiveness and to modernize and streamline development and approval processes.
In the upcoming April issue of DIA’s Global Forum, which will be released next week, experts will take a deeper dive into several of the trends identified in the report. We will feature some of these insights here on our blog as well.
What do you think about the trends that we’ve identified? Are there trends that you would have ranked higher, lower, or not included at all? Are there trends you think we missed? Let us know in the comments.
